Product Description Prime 10 External self-priming canister filter with media, The customer should proceed to prime the filter as follows : 1, Ensure that the unit is set up as per the instructions contained with the product. 2, Ensure that both taps are off with their levers pointing horizontally. 3, Remove the red priming cap from the centre of the filter. Fill the filter with freshwater ( saltwater if marine) give the filter a little shake when filling to dispel any trapped air. Fill until the water is visible at the bottom of the filler neck. 4, Replace the red cap and turn to lock. 5, Plug in the unit to hear the motor running, open the tap from the aquarium to the filter ( this should have a strainer on the end and is called the intake) after a couple of seconds open the other tap. 6, Turn off the taps ( both of them ) unplug the filter and repeat process from 3 to 5. Normally a couple of times filling and restarting is enough. Box Contains External Aquarium filter with media.
