Pussers new branding for the orginal Blue label Navy rum has been renamed Gunpowder Proof, as this is the strength of spirit if it got spilt onto gunpowder it wood still ignite. Navy Rum is not just a name for dark rum. Originally it was the name of a specific type of rum distilled for the Admiralty in wooden pot stills in lieu of the normal metal ones. The distillation of rum in wood imparts a truly unique flavor that can only be described as full and rich, making most others bland by comparison. PUSSER'S ‘GUNPOWDER PROOF’ is a traditional Royal Navy style rum produced at original Admiralty strength in accordance with the Admiralty’s blending recipe last used when the Navy discontinued daily rations in 1970

TASTE: Rich and full-bodied, with a more enhanced flavour profile than the lower proof Blue Label, and incredibly smooth due to natural ingredients

ON THE NOSE: Pungent molasses, notes of treacle, toffee, honey and vanilla with oak, warmth of cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger
