In today's spirits world, Pusser's is the only rum that is still distilled in the wooden pot stills of yesteryear, interestingly in the same original Admiralty stills. Rum that is not distilled in wood cannot achieve the unique flavor of a real Navy Rum. While others may have designated their product to be a navy rum by the mere inclusion of the phrase 'Navy Rum' on their label, they can never be a Navy Rum any more than a Rolls Royce logo placed on a Ford doesn't make a Ford a Rolls Royce. GUNPOWDER PROOF: A traditional Royal Navy style rum produced at original Admiralty strength in accordance with the Admiralty’s blending recipe last used when the Navy discontinued daily rations in 1970.

SPICED: A touch of Caribbean Spice, mellowed with a subtle blend of banana, vanilla, cinnamon and a hint of ginger, chill-filtered and aged in charred oak bourbon barrels for three years.

TASTING NOTES: Colour- Dark, coppery amber with burnished copper highlights. Palette- Sweet vanilla and caramelized banana balance a spicy flavour. Nose- molasses, banana, chocolate, vanilla and a touch of ginger. Finish- Long and smooth.
