Description

OPSITE Post-Op has a unique molecular structure that 'switches on' in the presence of moisture, preventing accumulation of moisture underneath the dressing, which reduces bacterial growth and the risk of maceration. The thick pad is highly absorbent, minimising the number of dressing changes whilst protecting the wound from further injury. The low-adherent wound contact layer leaves the wound site clean and comfortable, reducing pain when changing the dressing. Ingredients Opsite Post-Op Dressing is primarily composed of the following materials: 1. Polyurethane film: Provides a waterproof and breathable barrier for the wound. 2. Acrylic adhesive: Ensures secure and long-lasting attachment to the skin. 3. Vapour-permeable membrane: Allows for the exchange of moisture vapor, enhancing comfort and promoting optimal healing. 4. Release liner: Facilitates easy and smooth application of the dressing. Please note that specific formulations may vary based on the manufacturer and product version. Directions Here are the directions for using Opsite Post-Op Dressing: 1. Clean the wound area thoroughly with mild soap and water, then pat it dry. 2. Carefully remove the dressing from its packaging, handling it by the edges to avoid contamination. 3. Remove the release liner from the adhesive side of the dressing. 4. Place the adhesive side of the dressing directly over the wound, ensuring full coverage and a secure seal around the edges. 5. Smooth out any wrinkles or air bubbles, pressing gently to ensure proper adhesion. 6. If necessary, trim any excess dressing to fit the wound area. 7. Monitor the dressing regularly for signs of saturation, such as leakage or loosening, and replace it as needed. 8. To remove the dressing, gently lift one corner and peel it away from the skin, following the direction of hair growth to minimize discomfort. Always follow the instructions provided by your healthcare provider or the manufacturer for specific guidance tailored to your situation. Safety Warning Here's a safety warning for Opsite Post-Op Dressing: - For external use only. Do not ingest. - Keep out of reach of children to prevent accidental choking or ingestion. - Avoid contact with eyes. If contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water and seek medical attention if irritation persists. - Discontinue use if irritation, redness, or discomfort develops and consult a healthcare professional. - Do not use the dressing on infected wounds or wounds with heavy exudate without consulting a healthcare professional. - Change the dressing as directed by your healthcare provider or if it becomes soiled, damaged, or loose. - Do not reuse dressing to prevent cross-contamination and infection. - Store the dressings in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. - If you have known allergies or sensitivities to any of the components in the dressing, consult a healthcare professional before use. - Follow all additional safety instructions provided by the manufacturer or healthcare provider. It's crucial to adhere to these safety warnings to ensure the effective and safe use of Opsite Post-Op Dressing.
