OpSite Post-Op Dressings offer high level bacterial barrier and moisture control for post-operative care of stitches and other wounds. These post-operative dressings are comfortable and low adherent, helping to reduce pain and trauma when changed. They have a highly absorbent bacteria-proof pad, are flexible and conforming. OpSite Post-Op Dressings are designed with a low-allergy adhesive, ideal for sensitive skin. Ingredients The OPSITE POST-OP Dressing 10x25cm does not contain traditional "ingredients" like a consumable product would. Instead, it is composed of materials designed to promote wound healing and protect post-operative wounds. These materials typically include: 1. Vapour-permeable film: Allows for breathability while maintaining a barrier against contaminants. 2. Adhesive layer: Securely attaches the dressing to the skin to prevent movement and ensure proper wound coverage. 3. Non-adherent absorbent pad: Absorbs any wound exudate while preventing the dressing from sticking to the wound bed. 4. Backing layer: Provides additional support and protection to the dressing. These components work together to create a protective environment for the wound, promoting healing and minimizing the risk of infection. Directions 1. Clean the wound area thoroughly with mild soap and water. Pat dry gently. 2. Ensure the surrounding skin is dry and free from any lotions or creams. 3. Remove the OPSITE POST-OP Dressing from its packaging, taking care not to touch the adhesive side. 4. Carefully apply the dressing over the wound, ensuring full coverage and a secure fit. 5. Smooth down the edges of the dressing to ensure proper adhesion. 6. Replace the dressing as needed, typically every 2-3 days or as directed by a healthcare professional. 7. If the dressing becomes soiled, damaged, or starts to lift at the edges, replace it with a new one. 8.
