The damper-controlled lid helps contain odors and bacteria and closes gently, making it suitable for hospital rooms and other quiet places. A foot pedal quietly lifts the lid and enables hands-free trash disposal. Polypropylene is more rigid than polyethylene and is resistant to certain chemicals. Aluminum weighs less than steel and resists corrosion and tarnishing. Two swivel caster wheels on the back and two fixed and lockable caster wheels on the front provide quiet maneuverability for noise-sensitive environments.
