Description

The AKG D112 large diaphragm microphone has been established as a synnonym for modern bass drum sound for years. In addition to its robustness, the frequency profile optimised for bass drum reduction has made the D112 popular. A powerful transmission of the low end range with a slight emphasis of around 4kHz already produces exactly the sound you expect from a crisp, punchy bass drum without further eQing. The high maximum level of 160 dB contributes to the good reputation of the AKG D112 and, in addition to its specialist roles as a bass drum microphone, makes it interesting for the removal of electric bass or bass strong wind instruments.
