The GARDENA Comfort irrigation control system 4040 modular is used for automatic control of large irrigation systems, mostly from underground sprinkler systems, such as the GARDENA sprinkler system. The Comfort irrigation control system 4040 modular is especially used when the amount of water is insufficient for the entire system - consisting of several watering lines - to operate simultaneously. Even with different water consumption in planting areas, the 4040 modular regulates individual irrigation intervals per strand and thus ensures a personalised, comfortable watering. The Comfort irrigation control system 4040 modular is designed for the connection of four 24-volt irrigation valves (item number 1278-20) and the Comfort expansion module 2040 (item number 1277-20) to up to 12 expandable valves. For extremely versatile irrigation, up to four programmes can be stored per valve. The watering days and cycles are flexibly selectable; watering duration can be set from one minute to four hours 59 minutes and is also centrally from 0 to 200% variable. Once the irrigation has started, this can immediately be activated manually. The programming itself is user-controlled and thus is quite simple. The GARDENA pump control (Art. No. 1273-20) can be connected by the master channel and thus a pump can be activated as an alternative water source. Practical: The GARDENA comfort irrigation control system 4040 modular can be used both indoors and outdoors and has a 230-volt mains connection. Thus, the irrigation control is always performed reliably and safely. Power failure protection is made possible by a 9-volt alkaline battery (battery not included). If desired, a GARDENA rain or soil moisture sensor can be connected to the water-saving operation.
