Description

The Sennheiser e 609 SILVER is a dynamic supercardioid instrument microphone with a flat, side-address body design that has made it a long-standing choice for guitar cabinet micing in live and studio environments. Its hang-on-cabinet design allows the microphone to be suspended directly in front of the speaker grille using the instrument cable as support — a practical, fast deployment method that is standard practice on busy live stages and touring rigs. The supercardioid polar pattern delivers precise, focused capture with high rejection of off-axis stage noise, maintaining clean guitar signals even in loud, complex live environments. The shaped frequency response is tuned to capture the mid-range character, body, and definition of guitar amplifier sources, providing mix-ready results in both live front-of-house and studio recording contexts. High SPL handling ensures consistent performance at any amplifier volume level, from studio-level practice recordings to high-output touring configurations. Supplied with the MZQ 100 clip, pouch, and documentation.

Key Features

HANG-ON-CABINET PLACEMENT: The flat, side-address body design allows the e 609 SILVER to hang directly in front of a guitar cabinet using the instrument cable as support — eliminating the need for a stand in many live applications.

SUPERCARDIOID REJECTION FOR NOISY STAGES: The supercardioid polar pattern delivers precise, focused on-axis capture with high rejection of off-axis stage noise, providing clean guitar amp signals in loud live environments.

SHAPED FOR GUITAR CABINET SOURCES: Frequency response engineered to capture the character of guitar amplifiers and speaker cabinets, delivering the mid-range presence and definition engineers rely on for live and studio guitar tones.

HIGH SPL HANDLING WITHOUT DISTORTION: Designed for the demanding sound pressure levels generated by guitar amplifiers and loud instrument sources, maintaining accurate signal capture at any playing level.

VERSATILE INSTRUMENT MICING APPLICATIONS: Beyond guitar cabinets, the e 609 SILVER performs across a range of instrument sources including bass cabinets and brass, providing flexible professional micing capability.
