Product Description Proteomics is a study which takes the existence and activities of all proteins in cells as the research object for a more in-depth understanding of the laws of life activity. Since the concept of proteome was proposed in 1995, proteomics has achieved rapid development during the past decades. As a significant part of post-genomics, proteomics has strengthened its position and also become the forefront of scientific research in this century. Magnetic nanomaterials in proteomics analysis is an interdisciplinary field combining magnetic nanomaterials science and proteomics. From the current research, magnetic nanomaterials have shown great potential in complex proteomics research.This book focuses on the application of magnetic nanomaterials in the forefront of proteomics research, and detailedly describes the synthetic methods, properties, principles and performance of magnetic nanomaterials in various branches of proteomics, which contains digestion studies, enrichment of low abundance peptides, as well as the analysis of phosphoprotein and glycoprotein. In view of vast researches published on the international core journals over ten years, the study on magnetic materials in proteomics and the author's research experience are integrated, and then the application of magnetic nanomaterials in proteomics analysis are stated systematically.This book can serve as reference book for teaching in the major of proteomics analysis, and also can be reference book for researchers who are studying materials for proteomics. About the Author Nianrong Sun obtained her doctorate from Fudan University at Shanghai in 2017. Currently, she works as an associate researcher at Zhongshan Hospital of Fudan University. She has developed many nanomaterials-based methods for separation and analysis of proteome. Up to now, as the first author or corresponding author, Sun has published over 30 papers in Analytical Chemistry, Advanced Functional Materials, Chemical Communications, Nanoscale, TrAC Trends in Analytical Chemistry, ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces and so forth. Chunhui Deng received his PhD degree from Fudan University in 2004. He worked as an associate professor at Fudan University from 2006–2010 and has been working as a full professor at Fudan University since 2010. He has won many awards including the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, second prize in Shanghai Science and Technology Promotion Prize, second prize in Natural Science Award of Ministry of Education of China and Meiji Dairy Life Science Award, etc. To date, Deng has published over 200 papers in Chemical Society Reviews, Journal of the American Chemical Society, Angewandta Chemie - International Edition, Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Communications, Nanoscale, Journal of Materials Chemistry, ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces and so forth. He has been on the list of Chinese highly cited scholars in chemistry published by Elsevier for several successive years. His H index is over 60. His research interests involve the design and preparation of functional nanomaterials, as well as their application in proteomics, peptidomics, metabonomics and environmental analysis.
