Dr Sanjay Singh is working as an Associate Professor at the Division of Biological & Life Sciences, School of Arts & Sciences, Ahmedabad University. He obtained his MS (Biochemistry) from University of Allahabad (2004), and Doctoral degree (Biotechnology) from CSIR-National Chemical Laboratory India (2008). He expanded his research interests during his stay as postdoctoral research fellow at University of Central Florida (Orlando, USA) and Pennsylvania State University (Hershey, USA). Dr Singh’s current research interests include nanomaterial synthesis, characterization, surface modification, toxicity evaluation and biomedical uses such as targeted drug/gene delivery for cancer treatment and imaging. Development of nanoparticle based formulations with multiple drugs in desired proportion for targeting multiple signaling pathways for cancer medicines. Explore novel nanomaterials exhibiting biological enzyme (super-oxide dismutase, peroxidase, oxidase and catalase) mimetic properties. He has been bestowed with several awards such as Endeavour Research Fellowship by Government of Australia (2015), Yamagiwa-Yoshida Memorial international study grant award by Union for International Cancer Control (UICC), Japan (2016) and International Association of Advanced Materials Scientist Medal (2017). He has published 55 peer reviewed publications in international journals, has 02 (applied) patents to his credits.
