About the Author Xiang Jiquan is a Full Professor and Doctoral Tutor at Central China Normal University. He has long been engaged in the research of grassroots governance and community development. He receives special allowance from the State Council and is the recipient of many awards, including the ""Five-A Project"" Award, the Chinese National Book Award, the National Award for Outstanding Doctoral Thesis and more. He was selected for the New Century Excellent Talents Support Program in 2004 and ""A Group of Four"" talent of the Central Propaganda Department of cultural masters in 2015. He has, to his credit, three academic monographs, six co-written works, and one co-translated work, and has authored more than 130 papers and articles, among which the representative works include Rural Governance in the Context of the Group Economy, Foreign Rural Grass-roots Units, and Wenzhou New Policy: Community Reconstruction and Governance Transformation.
