About the Author Dr Olga Vorobieva, Candidate of Legal Sciences (Russian scientific degree, 1979), LLM (USA, 1999), is a Senior Legal Researcher (on leave) at the Institute of State and Law of the Russian Academy of Sciences, which she joined in 1978. In the Institute, she has worked in the Division for International Economic Relations and Private International Law. She has been involved in the legal research on general conflict of laws matters and specifically focused on the legal aspects of international scientific and technical cooperation and intellectual property protection. Until 1995, Dr Vorobieva was also a Senior Partner at the Russian law firm Yust (Moscow) where she actively worked on the legal matters of international business transactions. Since 1995, Dr Vorobieva has been living in the United States. She is currently employed by the law firm Hoskin Farina & Kampf, P.C. (Grand Junction, Colorado). Dr Vorobieva is the author and co-author of numerous books and articles and has delivered papers at various international legal conferences, symposia, and seminars.
