Die Überwachung des Ansprechens auf die APL-Therapie ist ein Kontinuum, das mit der Diagnose beginnt und sich seriell über den gesamten Verlauf der Behandlung fortsetzt. Dies ist die erste Studie aus dem Kaschmir-Tal (Nordindien) über akute promyelozytäre Leukämie, die sich mit der Nachbeobachtung dieser Krankheit befasst. Unsere Studie bestätigte, dass die Karyotypisierung mit Hilfe von peripherem Blut eine wichtige Determinante für den gesamten Krankheitsverlauf, die erfolgreiche Remissionsinduktion, das Rückfallrisiko und das Gesamtüberleben ist. Wir berichteten auch über den Promotor-Hypermethylierungsstatus des p15-Gens als prospektiven prognostischen Indikator und zuverlässiges klinisches Hilfsmittel für die Beurteilung von Patienten mit APL. Dies eröffnet anderen Forschern eine neue Perspektive für die weitere Erforschung der Krankheit, um herauszufinden, inwieweit die Beobachtungen und die Technik für die künftige Verwendung relevant sind oder nicht.
