Ce livre met l'accent sur la conception de pigments nanocomposites à base de cendres volantes pour les revêtements réfléchissants dans le proche infrarouge. La synergie de travail de deux nanomatériaux est créée pour produire des composites cœur/enveloppe multifonctionnels destinés à être utilisés dans des applications de revêtement réfléchissant le proche infrarouge à faible coût. Le livre donne un aperçu des matériaux composites cœur/enveloppe contenant un cœur de cendres volantes et différents oxydes métalliques dans l'enveloppe comme le TiO2, le ZnO et le CeO2. La formation efficace de l'enveloppe de TiO2 sur le noyau de cendres volantes a été obtenue en utilisant un tensioactif anionique, le dodécylsulfate de sodium (SDS) par voie solvant. Des pigments composites de cendres volantes recouverts de nano titane ont été utilisés pour la préparation de revêtements froids. De la même manière, des cendres volantes enrobées de ZnO et des cendres volantes enrobées de cérium ont été fabriquées pour leur propriété de réflexion dans le proche infrarouge afin de trouver leurs applications comme pigments froids.
