Cette étude vise à identifier les verbes phrastiques (PV) les plus couramment utilisés en anglais philippin et à analyser leurs modèles grammaticaux et leurs caractéristiques sémantiques. Elle a utilisé une méthode de recherche mixte, en particulier le paradigme exploratoire-qualitatif. Pour analyser les modèles grammaticaux des verbes phrastiques les plus couramment utilisés, le résumé des modèles grammaticaux des PV illustré par Quirk et al. (1985) a été utilisé comme référence. Pour classer les caractéristiques sémantiques des PV les plus utilisés, les trois catégories - la construction libre, non idiomatique, semi-idiomatique et hautement idiomatique - délimitées par Quirk et al (1985) ont été utilisées comme référence pour le marquage et l'information. Bien qu'il y ait également des modèles uniques qui peuvent être distincts de l'anglais philippin, les résultats ont révélé que les modèles grammaticaux des cinq PV les plus couramment utilisés en anglais philippin étaient généralement conformes aux principales variétés d'anglais. En outre, les caractéristiques sémantiques de ces cinq PV étaient généralement des constructions libres, non idiomatiques, ce qui signifie que la majorité des PV n'ont que des significations littérales.
