Die Architektur von Arbeitsräumen spielt in der Arbeitswelt noch keine tragende Rolle. Nach wie vor steht bei der Suche nach einem Job die Tätigkeit im Vordergrund und der Arbeitsplatz an sich wird oft erst nach Dienstvertragsunterzeichnung besichtigt. Dabei hat die Architektur eine große Auswirkung auf die Psychologie des Menschen und beeinflusst wichtige Faktoren in der Arbeitswelt. Aufgrund dessen wurde diese Arbeit dem architektonischen Einfluss auf die Arbeitspsychologie im Büro gewidmet. Der Fokus wurde dabei auf die Arbeit im Einzelbüro, Mehrpersonenbüro, Großraumbüro und mobilen Büro gelegt. Bei den Gestaltungselementen wurden die Raumaufteilung, die Innenarchitektur, die Beleuchtung, die Farbwirkung, die Akustik und die Gemeinschaftsräume untersucht. Der arbeitspsychologische Fokus wurde auf die Zufriedenheit, die Motivation, die Bindung, die Leistung und die Kommunikation gelegt. Um an die Erkenntnisse zu gelangen, wurde zuerst eine ausführliche Literaturrecherche durchgeführt und anschließend mithilfe von qualitativen Interviews untermauert.
