Description
Parmi les stratégies d'alliances, une nouvelle pratique est en train de percer: le Corporate Venture Capital (CVC) ou, en français, le Capital Risque d'entreprise ou Capital Risque industriel. Le CVC est un processus d'investissement à risque, entrepris par des sociétés non financières (industriels), qui se matérialise par des prises de participation minoritaires dans des entreprises prometteuses et innovantes. On parle souvent de "s'ouvrir une fenêtre sur les technologies naissantes". L'idée centrale est la suivante: le groupe industriel peut aider à la création d'entreprises en mettant en place un programme de Capital Risque. L'industriel apporte son savoir-faire technique et managérial et injecte de l'argent. En contrepartie, les entrepreneurs apportent leurs innovations. Ce travail se présente comme une contribution à l'élaboration d'un cadre conceptuel propre à la pratique et tente de comprendre les déterminants du choix entre le CVC et l'Intrapreneuriat et les motivations des firmes. Les cas de France Télécom et de Thalès, qui mènent d'importants programmes d'investissements à risque, ont notamment été mobilisés au service de la présente recherche.
