In fact, it is the first time that Tamoxifen has been officially suggested as a preventive precaution in women who have not yet been diagnosed with breast cancer. Scientists have made it clear that Tamoxifen is prescribed for women whose tumours are responsive to hormones for five years after surgery . How does Tamoxifen work? According to medical scientists Tamoxifen restricts the growth of cancer cells by interfering with their oestrogen supply but reducing a woman's oestrogen levels brings on a menopausal state. Nonetheless, Tamoxifen has some side effects like leg cramps, indigestion, headaches, depression and vision problems. Doctors have also warned the consumer of Tamoxifen to avoid tea, coffee and alcoholic drinks...
