Decembrie 1989 reprezinta o radiografie a modului in care evolutia relatiilor internationale, cu precadere cele Est - Vest, a influentat evolutia economico-sociala si politica a Romaniei socialiste, a metodelor si mijloacelor prin care Nicolae Ceausescu si-a subordonat Partidul si Statul, precum si structurile de forta si de intelligence si, totodata, a incapacitatii unei elite politico-militare si de intelligence de a porni la reformarea societatii si a sistemului politic. Revolutia Romana din Decembrie 1989 a fost generata de o revolta populara nascuta ca urmare a acestor esecuri politice si economice ale elitei politice romanesti din acele timpuri istorice, s-a radicalizat pe masura ce represiunea regimului Ceausescu se dovedea tot mai dura si a atins apogeul prin respingerea totala a vechiului sistem politic. Fara comunisti! reprezinta nu numai o lozinca si un deziderat al multimii aflate in Piata Palatului, in seara de 22 decembrie 1989, ci si inceputul unui proces menit sa restabileasca adevarul istoric si sa ofere Romaniei si romanilor un nou drum, un nou destin istoric. Nu contest existenta unor agenti straini in Romania, precum si faptul ca aveau anumite planuri de actiune, insa a pune in seama lor izbucnirea revoltei populare de la Timisoara reprezinta o negare a unui adevar istoric: oamenii s-au revoltat la gandul ca regimul Ceausescu refuza sa se predea in fata istoriei si a adevarurilor sale. - Constantin Corneanu
