LAP Lambert Academic Publishing Towards A Knowledgeable Creative Problem-Solving Methodology: An Inspiration from Enhancing CBR Creativity

Creativity is highly treasured by every aspect of our society. While creativity takes on an elusive appearance, it is reasonable to suggest that creativity is based on previous experience. In this regards, the capacity of Case Based Reasoning (CBR) to remember precedent cases should play an important role in generating creative solutions. In this book, creativity and its varied definitions have been extensively discussed; the CBR’s creativity has been reviewed through the latest CBR applications and models since 1980s; a creative process model is proposed and a creative CBR model has been developed; and then a Knowledgeable Creative Problem Solving (KCPS) methodology has been propounded particularly by integrating the CBR to fulfill the function of knowledge provision during the process of generating creative solutions.
