Diplomarbeit, die am 01.02.2001 erfolgreich an einer Fachhochschule in Deutschland im Fachbereich Internationale Betriebswirtschaftslehre eingereicht wurde. Gang der Untersuchung: Der erste Teil der Arbeit entwickelt mit der Definition der wesentlichen im Folgenden verwendeten Begriffe die theoretische Grundlage für diese Arbeit. Aufgrund der Aktualität des Themas und der vielfältigen in der Literatur vorzufindenden Meinungen müssen dabei Abgrenzungen vorgenommen werden, um eine eindeutige Begriffsverwendung zu gewährleisten. Der zweite Abschnitt widmet sich der theoretischen Einordnung von Venture Capital und Venture Capital-Gesellschaften. Der Betrachtung des Venture Capital-Marktes und der Marktteilnehmer folgt die Analyse der einzelnen Finanzierungsphasen, die sowohl die Investmentaktivitäten der deutschen Venture Capital-Gesellschaften als auch die Entwicklungsphasen der Beteiligungsunternehmen wiederspiegeln. Um eine praxisnahe Darstellung zu ermöglichen, werden in diesem Abschnitt aktuelle Beispiele und Daten verwendet. Der folgende dritte Abschnitt befasst sich im wesentlichen mit dem Selektionsprozess der Venture Capital-Gesellschaften. Um darüber hinaus eine vollständige Übersicht über die Aktivitäten der Venture Capital-Gesellschaften zu geben, basiert dieser Abschnitt auf einer logischen Abfolge, die in ihrer Gesamtheit den Wertschöpfungsprozess von Venture Capital-Aktivitäten wiedergibt. Die Analyse der Selektionskriterien, welche die wesentliche Grundlage für die Entwicklung des Modells im Schlussteil dieser Arbeit darstellt, erfolgt dabei auf unkonventionelle Weise in Form eines idealtypischen Businessplans. Abschnitt 4 versucht, trotz der Dynamik des E-Commerce Marktes, die wesentlichen Geschäftsmodelle zu identifizieren und theoretisch zu fundieren. Praktische Beispiele dienen der erhöhten Transparenz der Darstellung. Im Anschluss daran werden die Erlösmodelle von E-Commerce-Unternehmen ausführlich untersucht. Diese können in der Praxi...
