Zu den ersten Aufgaben im Verlauf des Innovationsprozesses gehören die Bewertung vorliegender Innovationsideen und basierend darauf die Auswahl der zu realisierenden Ideen. Ausgewählt werden die Ideen, welche in den Augen der internen Experten die größten Erfolgschancen aufweisen und mit der strategischen Ausrichtung des Unternehmens übereinstimmen. Mit der Arbeit wird das Ziel verfolgt, die Auswirkung von Faktoren zu untersuchen, welche nicht von klassischen Bewer-tungsmethoden berücksichtigt werden. Der Fokus liegt dabei auf der Gewichtung von Bewertungsdimensionen und den Auswirkungen von sozialen Effekten. Die Motivation zur Berücksichtigung sozialer Effekte entsteht dabei aus dem Open-Innovation-Paradigma, welches eine Öffnung des unternehmensinternen Innovationsprozesses beschreibt, um durch die Interaktion mit unternehmensexternen Ressourcen und die Nutzung externer Wissensquellen die Fähigkeit zur Innovation zu stärken und zu erweitern.
