Viren in Trinkwasser - eine Gefahr für die Gesundheit? Um diese bereits sehr alte und immer wiederkehrende Frage beantworten zu können, ist es notwendig sehr sensitiv Viren nachzuweisen. Dies gelingt jedoch nicht ohne eine vorhergehende Anreicherung großer Wassermengen. Der Autor Martin Rieger beschreibt ein Verfahren zur automatischen Anreicherung und nachfolgenden Detektion von Viren aus großen Trinkwasservolumina (30000 L). Der zweite Teil des Buches widmet sich einer vielfältig einsetzbaren Möglichkeit zur 3-dimensionalen Visualisierung von Analyten in porösen Medien mittels Magnetresonanztomographie und Antikörper-gekoppelten superparamagnetischen Nanopartikeln. Gerade die Fragestellung der Visualisierung ist in vielen Bereichen der Wissenschaft von zentraler Bedeutung. So wird die, in diesem Buch beschriebene Methode benutzt, um die Verteilung von Benzo[a]pyren in porösen Medien zu visualisieren. About the Author Dr. Martin Rieger studierte Chemie an der Ludwig-Maximilians Universität München, promovierte unter Prof. Dr. Reinhard Nießner an der Technichen Universität München und ist seit 2012 wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Helmholtz Zentrum München.
