Ingrid Pohl-Eckerstorfer analysiert betriebliche Einsatzbereiche der Gendiagnostik und untersucht Faktoren, welche die Gentest-Entscheidung im Unternehmen bedingen. Mittels einer Befragung von 200 Personalverantwortlichen untersucht die Autorin deren Einstellung zu betrieblichen Gentests sowie die Relevanz der einzelnen bedingenden Einsatzfaktoren. From the Back Cover Durch Gentests können Erkrankungsrisiken frühzeitig erkannt werden. Mitarbeitern bieten sie so die Chance, die eigene Gesundheit gezielt zu fördern, und Unternehmen geben sie die Möglichkeit, ihre krankheitsbedingten Kosten zu verringern. Zwar sind der technische Aufwand und die Kosten für Gentests gesunken, Personalverantwortliche befürchten aber, dass sie dem Unternehmensimage schaden könnten, und schrecken daher vor ihrem Einsatz zurück. Ingrid Pohl-Eckerstorfer analysiert betriebliche Einsatzbereiche der Gendiagnostik aus ökonomischer und psychologischer Sicht. Vorausgesetzt wird, dass die Arbeitnehmer freiwillig am Gentest teilnehmen, der Genbefund ausschließlich dem getesteten Mitarbeiter übermittelt wird und der Befund valide ist. Mittels einer Befragung von 200 Personalverantwortlichen untersucht die Autorin deren Einstellung zu betrieblichen Gentests sowie die Relevanz der einzelnen bedingenden Einsatzfaktoren. So entsteht ein Modell, das Unternehmen bei der Entscheidung über den Einsatz von Gentests zur Gesundheitsförderung unterstützt.
