G. in Stuttgart, der osterreichischen Korting-A. G. & Co. Ges. m. b. H. in Wien, der Waagner-Biro-A. G., Eisenkonstruktions-und Bruckenbauanstalt in Wien, und der Wienerberger Ziegelfabriks- und Baugesellschaft in Wien. Anerkennung und herzlichen Dank schulde ich femer den bewahrten Assistenten meiner Lehrkanzel, den Herren Zivilarchitekten lng. Wilhelm Riedl und lng. Otto Gebhart, in deren Aufgabenkreis u. a. auch die zeichnerische Wiedergabe des Hauptteiles der Abbildungen fiel. Wien, im Oktober 1936. Dr. techno Silvio Mohr. V orwort zur zweiten Auflage. Die bereits im .Jahre 1944 beabsichtigte Neuauflage des damals schon vollig vergriffenen Buches muBte, bedingt durch die hemmenden Begleitumstande des Krieges auf einen spateren Zeitpunkt ver ,!choben werden. Der Krieg ist zu Ende, die Wunden, die er schlug, bluten aus unver narbten Malen und der Friede ist noch fern. Stadte liegen in Trummern, Industrien sind dem Boden gleichgemacht oder ins Ausland versetzt, Kulturguter unermeBlichen Wertes vernichtet und die Wirtschaft krank und siech.
