V rezul'tate provedennykh issledovaniy v Gosudarstvennykh lesnykh prirodnykh rezervatakh «Ertis ormany» i «Semey ormany». Ustanovlena ploshchad' rasprostraneniya zvezdchatogo pilil'shchika-tkacha po dvum rezervatam, kotoraya sostavlyala v 2006 g. 17361 ga. Obsledovanie pokazalo, chto lesopatologicheskoe sostoyanie lesov ostaetsya neudovletvoritel'nym chto, posluzhili prichinoy massovogo razmnozheniya stvolovykh vrediteley i bolezney lesa, chto obuslovilo ser'eznoe ukhudshenie lesopatologicheskoy obstanovki. Izuchenie prozhorlivosti lozhnogusenits ZPT podtverdili ikh vysokuyu vredonosnost'. Odna lozhnogusenitsa za ves' period razvitiya v srednem unichtozhaet 76 sht. khvoinok, chto ravnyaetsya 2,76 pog. m. i 2700 mg khvoi. Za period razvitiya lozhnogusenitsa s pervogo po shestoy vozrast, t.e. do ukhoda v pochvu, v masse uvelichivaetsya pochti v 152raza. V usloviyakh lentochnykh borov Priirtysh'ya vyyavleny entomofagi, kotorye predstavleny 49 vidami khishchnikov i parazitov. V bol'shinstve eto khishchniki - 44 vida, paraziticheskikh nasekomykh - 5 vidov. Ispytany ryad insektitsidov i biopreparatov.Provedena avia obrabotka gde biologicheskaya effektivnost' preparata sostavila 84,2 %.
