Diplomarbeit aus dem Jahr 2006 im Fachbereich Philosophie - Praktische (Ethik, Ästhetik, Kultur, Natur, Recht, ...), Note: Sehr gut, Universität Wien, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Konflikte [entstehen ...] aus Kommunikationsstörungen, aus Missverständnis und Unverständnis, Unaufrichtigkeit und Irreführung. Die Spirale der Gewalt beginnt mit einer Spirale der gestörten Kommunikation, die über die Spirale des unbeherrschten reziproken Misstrauens zum Abbruch der Kommunikation führt. (J. Habermas mit J. Derrida, Philosophie in Zeiten des Terrors, S. 61) Wie der Titel des Buches, aus dem obiges Zitat stammt, nahe legt, leben wir in einer Zeit des Terrors, oder besser gesagt einer Zeit des Terrorismus (auf die Unterscheidung der beiden Begriffe komme ich noch zu sprechen). Der Terrorismus istdasGespenst, das derzeit auf unserem Globus sein Unwesen treibt,dasDamoklesschwert, das jederzeit fallen und jeden treffen kann. Terrorismus ist aber auch ein politisches und soziales Phänomen, das nicht nur mit Gewalt sondern auch mit Kommunikation zusammenhängt, und wie jedes politische oder soziale Phänomen verdient er deswegen philosophische Beachtung. Tatsächlich haben sich zahlreiche und namhafte Philosophen in der Vergangenheit und vor allem in der Gegenwart mit dem Terrorismus auseinandergesetzt, wie z.B. Hegel, Marx, Habermas, Derrida, Hare, Walzer, u.a., auf deren Standpunkte ich in dieser Arbeit zum Teil auch eingehen werde. Ich habe den Terrorismus aber nicht nur deshalb zum Thema meiner Diplomarbeit gewählt, weil er an sich schon philosophisch interessant ist, sondern weil ich ihm auch persönlich ein großes wissenschaftliches Interesse entgegenbringe. Zum einen ist es ein Thema, wie es, traurigerweise, aktueller nicht sein könnte, zum anderen ist es auch ein äußerst facettenreiches Thema, da es die verschiedensten Gebiete wie Geschichte, Recht, Soziologie, Psychologie, Politik- und Militärwissenschaften und nicht zuletzt die Philosophie abdeckt.
