Magisterarbeit aus dem Jahr 2013 im Fachbereich Ethnologie / Volkskunde, Note: 1,0, Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (Ethnologie), Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die kosovoalbanische Gesellschaft befindet sich als eine Nachkriegsgesellschaft in reichlich desolater sozioökonomischer sowie immer noch relativ ungefestigter politischer Lage, und schmerzliche Erfahrungen der sehr kurzen, dennoch äußerst grausamen Kriegszeit 1998/99, als auch der in den Jahren zuvor massiv zunehmenden Repressionen durch den serbischen Staat, artikulieren sich im Alltag auf unterschiedlichste Art und Weise. Eine davon ist eine ausgeprägte Gedenkkultur hinsichtlich der in den letzten Jahren der 90er im Kampf Getöteten, welche als "Märtyrer der Nation" erinnert werden. Im Mittelpunkt dieses Gedenkens, und gleichzeitig der gesamten kosovoalbanischen Märtyrergedenkkultur, steht einer der Gründer der UÇK, Adem Jashari, auch bekannt als "komandant legjendar", dessen Tod - in Anlehnung an das Christusopfer - als ein "sublimes Selbstopfer" für die Nation erinnert wird. Dieses "messianische Selbstopfer", das die "Straße der Freiheit" für die KosovoalbanerInnen eröffnet haben soll, stellt ein hybrides Konzept dar, welches sowohl von Ideen familiärer Solidarität und Ehre innerhalb eines patriarchalen Kulturmusters, als auch von Elementen christlicher Opfertheologie beeinflusst ist. Durch diese Verschmelzung traditioneller nordalbanischer Kulturelemente mit dem Opfermythos Christi generiert sich eine mächtige Opfer-Erzählung, die das gegenwärtige nationale Selbstverständnis in Teilen der kosovoalbanischen Gesellschaft nachhaltig prägt. Warum aber steht genau der Aspekt des Opfers im Zentrum der Erinnerung? Warum starben die FreiheitskämpferInnen nicht einfach, oder wurden ermordet, sondern "opferten sich" auf dem "Altar des Vaterlands"? Und warum ist gleichzeitig kaum von zivilen "Opfern" die Rede? Dahinter scheint so etwas wie eine spezifische Opferlogik zu stecken, die es so verlockend erscheinen lässt, den Tod in ein "Selbstopfer" zu verwandeln. Das Ziel dieser Arbeit soll aber nicht sein, einen Entwurf einer "blutleeren" Opferlogik anzufertigen. Ebenso wenig geht es um ein oberflächliches Aufzeigen von kulturellen Traditionen, die sich in jenem kosovoalbanischen Mythos vermengen. Vielmehr ist das Anliegen des Autors, mit einem ethnologischen Blick das Spezifische dieser kosovoalbanischen Opfererzählung zu entdecken. Denn erst durch eine Einbettung in den soziokulturellen Kontext, in dem er erzählt wird, gibt der Mythos sich preis, wird er verständlich.
