Während sich Teil A des siebenten Bandes der vollständigen (vierten) Neuaus gabe von Hagers Handbuch der Pharmazeutischen Praxis mit den in der Pharma zeutischen Technologie gebräuchlichen Grundoperationen, dem Messen und Rech nen und vor allem mit den Arzneiformen befaßt, werden in Teil B die für die Arzneibereitung wichtigsten Hilfsstoffe behandelt. Sie finden sich so weit wie mög lich nach chemischen oder physikalisch-chemischen Gesichtspunkten zusammen gefaßt in Kapiteln, die ihrerseits alphabetisch angeordnet sind. Da einzelne Hilfs stoffe sowohl als solche als auch zu therapeutischen Zwecken verwendet werden, läßt sich eine Überschneidung mit den in den Bänden II bis VI aufgeführten Stoffen nicht immer vermeiden. Aus der z. T. kaum überschaubaren Fülle technischer Hilfsstoffe wurden nur die pharmazeutisch relevanten ausgewählt. Dabei war eine Vollständigkeit kaum zu erreichen. Dennoch dürfte die getroffene Auswahl dem Benutzer hilfreich sein, zumal in vielen Fällen Rezepturbeispiele gegeben werden. Soweit die aufgeführten Hilfsstoffe als Monographien in Arzneibüchern aufgeführt sind, finden sich die An gaben der Pharmakopöen bei den entsprechenden Abschnitten. Im Inhaltsverzeichnis sind hinter den Überschriften der einzelnen Kapitel die jeweils verantwortlich zeichnenden Autoren (in Klammern) genannt. Ihnen allen gebührt Dank für ihre langmütige wertvolle Mitarbeit. Dem Verlag ist für die verständnisvolle Zusammenarbeit und für die gute Aus stattung auch dieses Bandes besonders zu danken.
