VDM Verlag Sex and Anxiety: A study on influences of anxiety on sexual arousal in men and women.

The purpose of this project was to verify the role played by anxiety and stress on sexual function: To determine whether high anxiety or stress inhibit sexual arousal, therefore leading to sexual dysfunction or, if on the contrary, anxiety and stress could be considered enhancers to sexual arousal. Careful consideration was given to eliminate, or at least minimize factors that have been at the root of incongruent results in past studies. This study is innovative in both its rigorous approach and its findings.
