Dieses Buch stellt ein Evaluationsinstrument zur vergleichenden Beschreibung und Bewertung von Pflegecurricula anhand von Curriculumdokumenten vor und legt seine maßgeblichen Entwicklungsschritte dar.Dabei wird deutlich, wie die Evaluationskriterien gewonnen wurden und wie sie sich für ein Pflegecurriculum mit den Aspekten »berufliches Curriculum« und »Pflege« legitimieren. Primär soll es mit Hilfe des Instrumentes möglich werden, nachvollziehbar aufbereitete Informationen über verschiedene Pflegecurricula im Sinne einer Synopse zu erstellen. Implizit wird zudem aufgezeigt, wie ein der aktuellen Berufswirklichkeit angemessenes Pflegecurriculum aussehen kann. So kann das Instrument über die Evaluationsabsicht hinaus von Pflegeschulen auch als Leitfaden für eigenes curriculares Arbeiten genutzt werden, was mit der Gesetzesnovellierung 2004 einmal mehr notwendig geworden ist - eine Perspektive bedeutsam nicht nur für Lehrende, sondern auch für Entscheidungsträger in der Pflegebildung.
