Moreover, the book discusses the monetary policies in EMEs and the effects of the 2008 global financial crisis on the EMEs. Finally, the book discusses policy implications for EMEs and offers political recommendations for the public institutions in emerging markets. About the Author Alper Sönmez is Assistant Professor in the Department of Economics at Selçuk University. He was awarded his B.Sc. in Economics from Yıldız Technical University (YTU). He holds a Ph.D. degree in Economics from Middle East Technical University (METU). Dilek Çetin is Associate Professor at Süleyman Demirel University. She received B.Sc. in Economics from Ankara University. She holds a Ph.D. degree in Economics from Middle East Technical University (METU).
