Bereits innerhalb des biblischen Kanons wird manchen Texten durch ihre spatere Erinnerung eine besondere Bedeutung zugeschrieben, andere biblische Traditionen rucken an den Rand. Die Kanonisierung schliesst diese komplexen Prozesse nicht ab. Auch in der nachbiblischen Tradition variiert die Bedeutung der biblischen Texte in den verschiedenen Zeiten. Innerhalb verschiedener Interpretationsgemeinschaften werden biblische Texte schon durch ihren Gebrauch unterschiedlich bewertet. Diese Prozesse werden aus verschiedenen theologischen Perspektiven innerhalb der biblischen Texte und auch mit Blick auf ihre weitere Rezeption diskutiert. The religious prominence of texts develops in tradition through an interplay of the intrinsic claims of such texts, through the validity ascribed to them, and through their interpretation. This is also true for the texts of the Bible. Already within the biblical texts, some texts are ascribed a special significance through their later memory, while other biblical traditions are relegated to the margins. Canonization does not conclude these complex processes. Even in the post-biblical tradition, the meaning of biblical texts varies in different times. Within different interpretive communities, biblical texts are valued differently by their very use. These processes are discussed from different theological perspectives within the biblical texts and also with regard to their further reception.
