About the Author Yiannos Katsourides is Director of the Prometheus Research Institut (Nicosia) and Visiting Fellow at the Institute of Commonwealth Studies, School of Advanced Studies, University of London. He also teaches part-time in the Department of Social and Political Sciences at the University of Cyprus. He is author of a number of scholarly articles on the Cypriot party system, political participation and the political elite, and he has actively participated in various academic conferences both in Cyprus and abroad. His research interests include: Cyprus and Greek politics, radical left and extreme right political parties, political participation, Europeanization of poltical parties, and politcal institutions.
