Die semantische und syntaktische Verknüpfung von Attributen ist gegenüber der Satzverknüpfung bisher nicht systematisch erfasst worden. Dabei ist die Junktion in der Attribution bspw. in der Wissenschaftskommunikation ein sehr frequentes Phänomen, das aufgrund der nominalen Organisation auch teilweise andere Eigenschaften aufweist als die Satzverknüpfung. Der vorliegende Sammelband bietet eine Bestandsaufnahme des Phänomens der expliziten und elliptischen Junktion in der Attribution, die auf einem Belegkorpus aus dem Bereich der Wissenschaftssprache beruht. Neben der Erfassung der grundlegenden strukturellen Eigenschaften von Junktion in der Attribution geht es aber auch darum, das Phänomen zu erklären: Aus grammatiktheoretischer Sicht wird es dabei als Analogiephänomen verortet und aus kultur- bzw. praxistheoretischer Perspektive wird es im Zusammenhang mit Fragen zum Handeln und zum Handlungssubjekt erörtert. Der Sammelband erschließt einen in der Grammatikforschung bislang vernachlässigten Phänomenbereich und trägt darüber hinaus mit den Überlegungen zur Erklärung und Messung der strukturellen Komplexität attributiver Junktion zur aktuellen Komplexitätsdebatte bei.
