Wie nehmen Laien regionale Sprechweisen wahr? Diese Frage wird innerhalb der Dialektologie des Deutschen derzeit häufiger gestellt, ohne dass bisher eine befriedigende Antwort verzeichnet werden konnte. Im Rahmen einer empirischen Pilotstudie in Sachsen, Sachsen-Anhalt, Thüringen und Südbrandenburg untersucht die vorliegende Studie am Beispiel des Obersächsischen, wie die Strukturen des sprachbezogenen Alltagswissens überhaupt beobachtbar und beschreibbar sind, in welchen Parametern dieses Wissen organisiert ist und welche Rolle außersprachliche Faktoren bei der Wahrnehmung von Dialekten spielen.
