Marie Delcourt-Curvers joint à chaque pièce de cet ouvrage une notice qui en situe l'argument dans la légende grecque et qui souligne l'originalité de la mise en oeuvre. Un sommaire des études euripidéennes termine l'introduction ; des notes critiques en fin de volume justifient le texte adopté.
