Description
Is the digital revolution finally delivering on its promises? Artificial intelligence is set to play a major role in public management engineering, as it will enable us to understand the dynamics of complex systems, optimise resource management, preserve the environment, make the economic model more viable, rationalise governance and encourage efficiency. However, faced with the difficulties of developing a collective model that can reconcile ecological transition and socioeconomic transformation, what concrete contributions can artificial intelligence make to public management? Without falling into the trap of technological solutionism, the author attempts to determine to what extent artificial intelligence can contribute to speeding up the ecological transition, optimising public finances, boosting public health and reshaping services. "Innovation & Society: Artificial Intelligence for Public Management" does not claim to be an exhaustive inventory of the uses of artificial intelligence in the public sector but aims to provide an objective overview of the possible contributions of artificial intelligence to public management and the difficulties encountered in developing applied solutions.
