Please read the complete description before purchasing. The 6-volume textbook series, Foundations of Ayurveda, is the primary academic resource for training in professional Ayurveda through AYU Academy (www.ayu.academy). Volume 3 includes: An introduction to the multifactor, classical assessment framework for measuring health Detailed reviews of classical references for the main assessment factors Since this textbook is used for training in a professional program (the Svastha Acharya, or Ayurvedic Health Coach program, www.ayu.academy/sa), it includes study tools such as end-of-chapter multiple choice questions. The answer keys are currently only available to students in the program. Every effort has been made to create a valuable academic resource that aids Western students in learning Traditional Ayurvedic Medicine (TAM), but the current version is by no means perfect. The textbook includes consistent transliteration, shlokas in Devanagari, transliteration and translation, and references to sources, including classical literature. I began working on this volume in 2017, as part of the 6-volume series. Each volume is currently in a varied stage of completion. Although I feel that it is still incomplete, many students have requested that it be available sooner rather than later.
