El paso del siglo XVIal XVII se caracteriza por un dinámico momento de transición en la evolución de las formas estéticas. Este volumen de estudios, que contiene artículos escritos por algunos de los más prestigiosos siglodoristas en el ámbacional, ofrece un análisis abarcador de las formas poéticas de esta época. Estos trabajos contextualizan las obras hispanas en relación con el marco europeo y el americano, ofreciendo acercamientos de tipo panorámico junto con otros que se centran en textos específicos. El presente libro revisa y cuestiona los presupuestos estéticos e ideológicos sobre los que se ha fundamentado tradicionalmente la valoración artística de obras, géneros y autores delo de Oro, teniendo en cuenta la relación entre los autores supuestamente 'menores' y los 'clásicos' con el propósito de establecer cuáles fueron los factores que determinaron el paso de un texto de la periferia al centro del canonpoético. ENGLISH TRANSLATION Generic experimentation is at the heart of the major poetic innovations of the Spanish Golden Age. The passage from the sixteenth to the seventeenth century marked a dynamic moment of transition in the evolution of aesthetic forms. This volume of essays, which unites contributions from a cross-section of specialists in the field of Hispanic poetry, presents a comprehensive exploration of the unprecedented flowering of Hispanic culture associated with this period. Itnot only places aesthetic questions in their broader European context, but looks beyond the confines of Europe to interrogate the key terms of its title, balancing panoramic approaches to questions of genre with the insights afforded by detailed readings of individual texts. The publication examines the aesthetic and ideological criteria on which assessments of artistic importance have been based, considering the relationship between genre and 'major' and'minor' authors, and exploring the factors which precipitated a text's passage from the periphery to the centre of the canon.
