About the Author Richard Litz was the University of Florida Research Foundation Professor from 2001-2004. He was Associate Editor of the American Society for Horticultural Science (1986-1989), Managing Editorial Board, Plant Cell Tissue & Organ Culture (1998-present) and on the editorial board, Annual Reviews on Plant Biotechnology (1999-present). He is Professor Emeritus in the department of Horticultural Sciences at the University of Florida, with a speciality in the biotechnology of tropical fruits.
