This publication focuses in on opportunities and chances for folklore research online as well as research challenges for online folk groups. The book presents opportunities for production of digital internet material from items and research in the field of folk culture and for digitization, documentation, and promotion of elements related to folk culture. The book also discusses the challenges which are in progress and concern the creation of enriched didactic interventions in the context of the teaching of folk culture through digital media. In addition, the publication will include relevant chapters with suggestions to the community of folklore, suggestions, which is possible to strengthen Digital Folklore internationally, which is currently in the process of formation and establishment, trying to keep a balance between the national needs and the rapid changes and peculiarities of cutting-edge technologies, standards and methods noted within the international community.At the same time, the publication includes relevant chapters for the Digital Humanities, such as the traditional humanities, enlarged and enriched digitally, to focus and develop their theoretical, research, teaching, writing, and objects in a new digital, technological environment. In this context, digital folklore stands out, with its critical, innovative elements, among others, information and communication technologies, interactive internet media, and enriched digital activities.
