Due to the sudden outbreak of COVID-19, schools and universities have needed to respond to the challenges and devise new solutions for teaching. The traditional way of teaching has been substituted for online teaching. Teachers have had to think about efficient and effective teaching methods and activities in online delivery that can keep the students interested and engaged. It is important to examine teachers' cognition and its relevance to actual classroom management and teaching practice. The role of technology in language teaching and learning cannot be overestimated. The implementation of information and communication technology (ICT) and learner-centered instruction in language classrooms helps to increase students' motivation, engagement, and interest. Social and contextual factors, such as the current pandemic, should be taken into consideration as they might make teaching via technology a complicated and difficult task.
