"Pathways to Resiliency: Black and Latino Families in America is a collection of articles and essays that highlights the experiences of Black and Latino families in the United States. The seven chapter anthology features works of diverse perspectives and outstanding scholarship in the areas of history and acculturation, racism and inequality, education, family and relationships, religion and spirituality, public health issues and practice, and social problems and policy. The material gives readers a deeper understanding of the origins, nature, and extent of these resilient families while exploring the issues that impact them. ConSandra McNeil earned her Ph.D. in sociology at the University of Nebraska- Lincoln specializing in marriage and family, as well as African-American families. She is currently a professor of sociology at Jackson State University.Tara Jabbaar-Gyambrah holds a Ph.D. in American studies with a concentration in women’s studies from the University of Buffalo.
