He has been selected numerous times as Outstanding Teacher by Sociology students. His special interests are marriage and family, social problems, and social psychology. Jeanette C. Lauer is currently Research Professor at Alliant International University in San Diego, California. She received her Ph.D. in Social History from Washington University, St. Louis. She has taught at Washington University, St. Louis Community College and Alliant International University, where she also served as Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. She is the co-author of 17 books and numerous journal articles.
