Her research interests include curriculum development for sociology. Her work has appeared in the Journal of Men's Studies and the Encyclopedia of Criminal Justice.Sonia M. Brown holds an M.A. in sociology from DePaul University, an M.A. in social work from Loyola University, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. at Rowan University. She is lecturer at Rutgers University. Her research interests include the examination of contemporary examples of social injustice/needs and access/success of marginalized groups in higher education. About the Author Amy D’Olivo holds a Ph.D. in the sociology of religion from Drew University and is an associate professor of sociology and department chair at Centenary College. Her research interests include curriculum development for sociology. Her work has appeared in the Journal of Men’s Studies and the Encyclopedia of Criminal Justice.Sonia M.
