Wild Mushroom Hunting/ Foraging Field Guide! 250 Edible and Medicinal Mushrooms Book. Over 2000 high-resolution photos, with usually 3 or more photos of each species. There are nearly 500 pages. This field guide is set up like no other mushroom book. No complicated "keys", but a simple approach created by Chris to give the forager the confidence needed to enjoy wild and medicinal mushrooms to their fullest potential. Chris includes a difficulty factor from 1-10 for each species, a culinary factor from 1-5 (choice, good, mediocre, etc.), uses "triggers" for the species that fruit when the temperature reaches a specific degree, and best of all, the entire book is set up with spring, summer, fall, and winter fruiting times, then splits each o f those with "growing from stumps/logs, growing from ground in woodlands, growing in grassy areas, and growing in mulched areas". By doing this, you can turn right to the season you are in with your finds, and then skip to "growing from logs or stumps" for example which makes it straight to the point and easy to find your identification for even beginners. It also has a complete medicinal section with specific medicinal info on each species. Finally, it also includes the best way to preserve your finds short-term and long-term.
