About the Author Kevin R. Coulson is an emeritus professor of marketing, who established and served as the director of the Marketing Research Lab in the School of Business at Emporia State University. He earned his doctoral and master’s degrees in business administration with an emphasis in marketing from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and the University of Missouri-Columbia, respectively. He is a graduate of the United States Merchant Marine Academy, a former United States Coast Guard Officer, and sailed as a Chief Mate in the American Merchant Marine. Dr. Coulson has published numerous journal articles, cases, and proceedings as well as served as a regional business consultant within his areas of expertise, which include teaching graduate and undergraduate students, the use of technology in marketing, personal selling, sales management, and more.
