Description

Product Description This book comprehensively addresses advanced nanofiber manufacturing based on electrospinning technology. The principles, relationships between process parameters and structure, morphology and performance of electrospun nanofibers and nanomaterials, and the methods for enhanced field intensity and uniform distribution are discussed. The electric field intensity and distribution during electrospinning is also analyzed based on finite element analysis on both the needle and the needleless electrospinning. Furthermore, the modification techniques for improved nanomaterials strength are covered, aiming to provide effective avenues towards the manufacture of stronger nanofiber or nanomaterial products. About the Author Yanbo Liu, PhD is a Professor, holding the degrees of B.S. and M.S. in Textiles Engineering, PhD in Materials Science and Engineering; currently works with Wuhan Textile University, who initiated her research on electrospinning technology in 2007 focusing on large-scale electrospinning technology development. She has published more than 100 papers on academic journals and conferences, applied for 20 patents and received a large amount of research funds from China government and enterprises in China. Ce Wang received her BS degree from Jilin University in 1982 and PhD in Technische Universität Wien, Austria in 1995. She is currently a professor in Jilin University, China. Her research interests include the applications of electrospun nanomaterials for sensors, environment, and energy devices. She has published over 300 papers and more than 40 patents. She was awarded as China’s New Century Female Inventor in 2004 and received the first prize of Jilin Province Natural Science Award in 2015..
